Time to vote on what the pros will wear at the Presidents Cup (no, seriously, you have a say)

September 14, 2015

There are days when my colleagues at Golf Digest will tell you I have trouble picking out my own clothes, let alone allowed to give advice on what other people might want to wear. So it’s probably dangerous to allow me to have any sort of say in what the players will be wearing at next month’s Presidents Cup.

The PGA Tour, however, is banking on the fact that the voices of other, more fashion-forward voters will offset the poor taste of any one individual in creating an online promotion where fans will pick what the United States and the International teams will be wearing for the first day of competition in South Korea.

Voting opened this morning on Twitter and ends Tuesday at midnight, so you only have a short window of opportunity to cast your ballot. The two options on the left of the photo are the International team choices from Peter Millar: a green-and-black stripe double-mercerized cotton polo paired with a grey cashmere sweater and black pants, or a light yellow, double-mercerized cotton polo with a blue cashmere sweater and blue windowpane pants.

The choices for Team USA are from Fairway & Greene: a white quarter-zip pullover with a red tech polo, grey pinstripe pants and a white and black crocodile belt or a performance tech pique windowpane polo with a red quarter-zip pullover, navy pants and a navy and red striped belt.
