Video: The Old Course after the Open

July 18, 2010

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland -- Imagine the every day people of Augusta, Ga., wandering onto the fairways and greens of Augusta National just hours after the Masters -- and not being immediately thrown in jail.

Only then you can understand the unique dynamic of the Old Course in St. Andrews, where the most famed setting in golf morphs into a simple park during off hours. And that includes the hours immediately following the 139th Open Championship.

See for yourself in the brief video below with Golf World and Golfdigest.com contributor Geoff Shackelford, in which Shackelford attempts a putt from the famed Valley of Sin (and channels his inner Constantino Rocca in the process).

And yes, in case you were wondering, this was all done in one take.
