Valspar Championship odds 2022: Dustin Johnson somehow not the favorite off scorching-hot 63 at Sawgrass

Last week, ahead of the marathon Players Championship, Dustin Johnson's name popped on the odds board, as the former World No. 1 sat at 40-1 pre-tournament, odds you usually only see next to Johnson's name in the live-betting market when he's four or five shots back.

Then, Johnson faded from contention on Sunday evening and Monday morning, justifying why he had fallen so far down the odds board. All it took was one scorching-hot, course-record-tying 63 in the final round for that to change dramatically.

No, surprisingly Johnson is not the favorite, but he's back in the teens odds-wise at 14-,15- and 16-1 depending on the book. One more good finish, or perhaps a victory, and we can expect him to be back to his old solo favorite ways soon.

The actual, solo favorite is Justin Thomas, who is 11-1 fresh off a T-33 in his Players title defense, though that doesn't tell the whole story of his week. Thomas looked like the best player on the planet during Saturday's windswept second round, but a few costly water balls on Sunday and Monday saw him tumble down the leader board. Right behind him is Collin Morikawa, who missed the Players cut, and Viktor Hovland, who found himself in contention late Monday before suffering some chipping woes.

Here are the odds for every player in the 2022 Valspar Championship field.
