LAS VEGAS--The Golf Coaches Association of America has asked Chris Zambri to help end the United States' two-year winless streak at the Palmer Cup. The USC men's coach, in his fourth year overseeing the Trojans is the choice to captain the American side next summer when the annual event pitting the top collegians from the U.S. versus their European counterparts is held in Northern Ireland June 24-26.

The U.S. lost 13-11 last June at Cherry Hills CC outside Denver and fell 14-10 in 2008 at Glascow GC in Scotland. The two sides are 6-6-1 in the competition's first 13 years although Europe has a 5-2 record since 2003.
