Yes, T.J. Oshie has a golf jones. Don't most hockey players?

So it seems. Virtually a household name overnight for his starring role in the U.S. Olympic hockey team's 3-2 victory over Russia on Saturday, Oshie, who plays for the St. Louis Blues, has a handicap index of 2.4 playing out of Cragun's Legacy Courses in Brainerd, Minn.

Last summer, from June through early September, he posted 20 scores on USGA's handicap site, GHIN.com (see below). Not surprisingly, he has not posted a score since September, 2013.

The year before, he scored his first ace (see photo above), and posted on Twitter: "1st Career hole in one!!!! @laurencosgrove3 is my witness. "I should just make it on my first shot every time."

Lauren Cosgrove is his fiancé, who also has taken up golf. Last summer, Oshie posted on Twitter: "Nice round of golf today w/ @laurencosgrove3 and @HARDYLAW27." HARDYLAW27 is Minnesota attorney Kyle Hardy and a former college hockey player.

Cosgrove, meanwhile, posted this: "Thank god my boyfriend has patience... Correcting my golf swing with @OSH74."

Oshie, who besides hockey was a running back on the Warroad (Minn.) High School football team and also played on the varsity golf team, hosts an annual charity golf tournament, the Oshie Charity Golf Tournament.
