TPC Southwind’s adorable golf course dog Millie has better green etiquette than you
This week the FedEx Cup Playoffs kick off with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. The grounds crew has been hard at work prepping the course for the arrival of the PGA Tour’s postseason. That includes TPC Southwind’s beloved golf course dog Millie, an 11-year-old border collie who has presided over a whopping eight FedEx St. Jude Championships. She’s picked up a few tricks over the years, as evidenced by this paw-dorable video of Millie’s green etiquette that surfaced on Wednesday. Check it out.
That’s better behavior than you and your buddies after a couple beers, not to mention a certain former president who we’ve seen romping his golf cart across green complexes on multiple occasions. To put it another way, we’re all being outclassed by a dog. Not that we’re surprised given some of the conduct we see and hear about on the course these days.
But let’s not get bogged down in negativity. This is about Millie and Millie is great.
She knows she’s not allowed to venture beyond the fringe, especially on tournament weeks, and she listens. Sure, we bet she chases the rogue squirrel from time to time, but she’s still a Very Good Dog in our book.
