Putting
Ease Up Under Pressure

To maintain an easy rhythm, focus on keeping a fairly light grip pressure and making the backstroke and through-stroke mirror each other -- the same pace and length.
Most great putters have the ability to maintain a rhythmic stroke under the most intense stress. Their stroke appears the same on a four-footer to win a major championships as it does on one to win a friendly match.
On the other hand, poor putters tend to get quick at some point in their strokes as the pressure increases. As a result, they're inconsistent.
To maintain an easy rhythm, I focus on keeping a fairly light grip pressure and making my backstroke and through-stroke mirror each other -- the same pace and length. The light grip pressure helps me feel the stroke and release the putterhead naturally, going through the same length as I took it back. Make good rhythm one of your putting keys.
