Tiger Woods commits to Frys.com Open, because what else is he going to do?

September 11, 2015

Tiger Woods has committed to play in the Frys.com Open next month, which makes sense considering he's not exactly wearing himself out right now.

Woods' last event was last month's Wyndham Championship, where he made a last-ditch effort to qualfiy for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but finished T-10. With his absence from the Presidents Cup official after U.S. captain Jay Haas tabbed son Bill and Phil Mickelson with his captain's picks, Woods will have had nearly two months off between official starts.

In fairness, Woods did make an appearance at last week's Deutsche Bank Championship, but that was in a non-playing, selfie-taking role.

Woods' last appearance in the Frys.com, which this year will be held Oct. 15-18, was a T-30 at CordeValle Golf Club. The next known event on Woods' schedule will be at his Hero World Challenge in Albany, The Bahamas Dec. 3-6.
