This video of Randy Moss finding out he got in the Hall of fame is quite the tear-jerker

February 04, 2018

There was little doubt that Randy Moss would one day be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but getting in on your first-year of eligibility is never a sure thing. Of the 25 wide receivers before him that have earned a gold jacket, just five of them got in on the first ballot, the last being Jerry Rice in 2010. All-time greats like Marvin Harrison, Michael Irvin and Moss' former teammate Cris Carter didn't even get in on their first try.

But if anyone was a sure thing, it would be Moss, who ranks fourth all time in receiving yards, second all time in receiving touchdowns and first all time in having the best YouTube highlight reel, bar none.

On Saturday, Moss received the news that he was heading to Canton, and the video of it is quite the tear-jerker. Check it out:

We're not crying, you're crying. Pretty cool moment for a guy who grew up in West Virginia, ended up at Marshall University and went on to become a legend. He joins Brian Urlacher, Brian Dawkins, Ray Lewis, Bobby Beathard, Jerry Kramer, Robert Brazile and Terrell Owens in the class of 2018. The election of Moss and Owens marks the first time two wide receivers have ever been in the same Hall of Fame Class.
