For more than two decades, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) and baseball legend Rod Carew have co-hosted the annual Rod Carew Golf Classic in Orange County, Calif., to benefit children's cancer research. On August 28, 288 amateur players gathered at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach to help add to the millions of dollars already raised for the PCRF in the tournament’s 22-year history.

The Rod Carew Golf Classic is one of 34 amateur golf tournaments across America that are part of the Genesis Invitational series in 2017, which means players were treated to Genesis-sponsored experiences throughout the day, including a chance to win a brand-new Genesis G90 luxury sedan with a hole-in-one on either the par-3 second hole on the North Course or the par-3 seventh on the South Course. Two of the tournament’s winners also earned an all-expenses-paid trip to the Genesis Invitational at Florida’s Streamsong Resort in October.
