It's the real tradition unlike any other - a Golf Digest employee winning the Media Lottery to play Augusta National the Monday after the tournament.

Two years ago, myself and Stephen Hennessey had the good fortune of winning, and we wrote and podcasted about it extensively. I'm still amazed two years later at how interested people were in hearing about our rounds in great detail. It remains our No. 1 most-listened to podcast ever. The Augusta Effect.

Last year, it was our boss, Sam Weinman, who won. We had him on to break down his round, in which he used my clubs and my black rain gloves. At Augusta. Sacrilege.

This year, it was our own Drew Powell, who won the tee time of a lifetime in his very first trip to the Masters. He was our guest on this week's The Loop podcast, and he detailed how he was frantically rushing to the first tee due to some unforeseen circumstances. Fortunately, he made it, and he had a pretty eventful round, too. To hear about his experience on the hallowed grounds, please have a listen below, and like and subscribe to The Loop wherever you get your podcasts.
