The Eurasian Tour

One barometer by which Asia's growing influence in golf can be measured (other than by South Korea's women and Y.E. Yang) is the European Tour, which continues to expand its borders.

It announced on Friday that it will co-sanction, with the Asian Tour, the Singapore Open later this year. This brings the number of European Tour events held in Asia to 11.

The European Tour now visits China twice, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates twice and Singapore.

Australia and South Africa also show up on the European Tour, incidentally.
