The Driver Byeong-Hun An Used To Win The PGA Long Drive Title

Byeong-Hun An driver.JPG

Byeong-Hun An pipped Rory McIlroy for the long drive title at the PGA Championship yesterday with a blast of 347 yards off the first tee, besting McIlroy by a mere two yards.

An did so using a Titleist 717D3 driver that is 45 inches in length with a Mitsubishi Tensei 70 TX shaft. The loft is on the low side at 8.5 degrees and while the adjustable hosel is set in the neutral A1 position, the SureFit weight on the sole is in the draw setting. An first put the driver in the bag earlier this year at the Quicken Loans National—the first week the club was made available to tour players.
