The clubs Bart Bryant used to win the Dick's Sporting Goods Open

Toshiba Classic - Final Round

Bart Bryant won the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open with a 30-foot birdie bomb on the final hole using a putter he recently purchased at … Dick’s Sporting Goods. No, we’re not making this up.

According to PGATour.com’s Bret Lasky, Bryant, mired in a rough stretch, was out to dinner with his caddie, Greg Poston, in late June at the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison, Wis. After putting poorly for 36 holes, both agreed something needed to be done, so they went to Dick’s and Bryant purchased a new Odyssey O-Works 2-Ball putter.

“The putter is what put me over the top this week,” said Bryant. “I probably made four or five putts of 20 feet or more, which is really big. It’s pretty cool that I won this tournament with a putter I bought right off the shelf at Dick’s."

Pretty cool, indeed. Pretty remarkable, too.
