UA, Steph Curry piggyback off Masters week to launch Curry Brand's first golf designs
It was a surprise when Under Armour and Steph Curry launched the Curry Brand late last year that there was no golf apparel as part of the release. UA already had two successful golf collections, and Curry is a golf nut who’s golf designs had sold out previously on the Under Armour website. All that changed on Friday, when the Curry Brand finally released seven golf pieces today including a golf shoe, hat, three polos, golf pants and a quarter-zip top.
The UA Curry 8 Spikeless Golf Shoes will likely be the most popular item in the release with an athletic silhouette and classic Curry styling. The knit upper has a sock-like fit and an ultra-lightweight spikeless outsole. The molded EVA footbed adds cushion to each step with the shoe supporting the natural motion of the foot in the golf swing and providing a little extra stabilization and energy return on impact.
Available in black or white, the corded UA Curry Golf Hat is made with a soft, woven fabric that wicks away moisture and has lots of stretch for a comfortable-yet-secure fit. The trucker-style cap also has a soft mesh that adds ventilation and style to the simple cap.
This quarter-zip-hoodie hybrid top has four-way stretch and UA Storm technology that repels water. The double-knit fabric can withstand a few rain showers and holds up when you’re ready to pack it away your golf bag mid-round.
The boldest piece in the collection is the UA Curry Vanish Printed Polo. It’s got an abstract pink and dark purple splatter-like design across the body that stylishly brightens any golf outfit. The quick-dry fabric is designed to stretch with you and won’t cling to the body when temperatures rise. It also has anti-odor technology in the fabric to prevent the growth of odor-causing microbes.
The dark purple Vanish Pique Polo is a unique color you likely don’t have in the closet, but is easy to match with. The slightly textured fabric is lightweight and ultra-breathable with a four-way stretch construction that enhances mobility.
