Spieth has become a favorite of Las Vegas bettors

Jordan Spieth is not yet a betting favorite in Las Vegas, but he has become a favorite of bettors, according to Jeff Sherman, the golf oddsmaker at the Las Vegas Hotel SuperBook.
"Recently, he has been our biggest liability," Sherman said Tuesday. "It's been pretty pronounced this season. He's pretty much the ticket leader each week, not necessarily the most money bet, but the most tickets. Here you have Jimmy Walker, who's won three of his last eight, and he doesn't get nearly the support."
Even on Masters wagering, Spieth is garnering huge support. Odds on Spieth were 30/1 a week ago, but action on him has caused Sherman to lower the odds to 25/1. Woods is a 13/2 favorite.
"Right now for the Masters, Spieth has the second most support behind Jason Day," Sherman said. "He's got twice as many tickets as Tiger does for the Masters. He's a little ahead of Tiger on money, too, though by the time the Masters starts, Tiger will have the most money written on him.
"The public really likes to get behind young guys with lots of potential."
Spieth, 20, led the PGA Tour in top 10s last year with nine, including a victory in the John Deere Classic. In five starts in 2014, he's finished in the top four twice.
