Watch Scottie Scheffler give out funny awards to his PGA Tour peers while paying homage to 'The Office'
As we were reminded on Sunday at Bay Hill, Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer in the world. But he also remains the biggest fan of 'The Office' on the planet. And on Wednesday, those two titles overlapped.
On the eve of the 2024 Players Championship, Scheffler handed out some (funny) awards to his PGA Tour peers, all while paying homage to one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. In case you're unfamiliar, Steve Carell's classic character, Dunder Mifflin paper company boss regional manager Michael Scott, does his own Oscars-like celebration called the Dundies to (awkwardly) honor his employees at a Chili's while committing about 100 HR violations.
Scheffler did the same thing, just not from a Chili's. And he made sure the person he offended most was one of his best friends, Sam Burns, who receieved "The Extreme Repulsiveness" Dundie for being "unbearable." Have a look at the entertaining video that includes (SPOILER ALERT) Adam Scott winning for "Hottest in the Office." OK, so that's not much of a spoiler.
Well done. Scheffler should be known henceforth as Michael Scottie.
Anyway, congrats to all the winners. No matter how they play at TPC Sawgrass, this week is already a huge success.
