Corbin Mills, Clemson

The junior from Easley, S.C., who claimed the U.S. Amateur Public Links title this summer, earned his first collegiate title with a two-stroke victory over Texas Dylan Frittelli at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. Mills shot a opening-round 65 at Old Overton CC outside of Birmingham, Ala., then closed with a 67 for a nine-under 201 total, tying the Tigers' 54-hole school scoring record shot by Lucas Glover at the 2000 Jerry Pate and D.J. Trahan at the 2003 Augusta State Invitational.

The 201 was more than 20 strokes better than the average 54-hole score of the 60-player field (only five players broke par for the tournament and only seven were within 11 strokes over Mills).

Mills has posted four straight rounds in the 60s over the past two tournaments, which also ties a Clemson record held by several players. He was the first Tiger to have three rounds in the 60s in one tournament since Kyle Stanley did it at the 2007 NCAA Championship.

Madeleine Sheils, Nebraska

Her final-round 67 at Sahalee CC tied the Cornhuskers' 18-hole school scoring mark and propelled the senior from Boise, Idaho, to a one-stroke victory over Oregon's Cassy Isagawa and Washington's Jennifer Yang at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational outside of Seattle.

"It feels absolutely incredible to win this tournament," said Sheils, who started the day in fifth place behind Isagawa and Yang. "It has been one my goals now for more than a year--to get that first win--and there is really no better feeling."

Sheils' round was the only sub-70 score for the entire tournament, where the average score for all three rounds was a 78.17.

"Because of the talent in that field, the level of competition and the difficulty of the course, that has to rank as one of the top performances in Nebraska history," said Cornhusker women's coach Robin Krapfl. "Maddie really played solid golf on Monday and Tuesday, and she was sensational today. I'm just really proud of the way she played throughout the tournament. She deserved to win."
