Rich Beem holes improbable pitch shot, gets mobbed by fans, and enjoys every second of it

July 31, 2016

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. -- Despite rain that just won't go away, Rich Beem seems to be enjoying every minute of his week at Baltusrol. And why not? This is the first time in four years that Beem, who spends most of his time these days working as an analyst for Sky Sports, has played on the weekend at a major. The man had to PAY for the clubs he's using this week for crying out loud!

But on Sunday, the Beemer provided a bit of sunshine for the fans on another dreary weather day. Beem holed this improbable pitch shot for birdie on the par-4 5th hole of his final round from the gallery -- and then celebrated by getting mobbed by the crowd. Check it out:

As good as this celebration was, it still probably only ranks third for Beem, 45, behind his dancing at Hazeltine after holding off Tiger Woods at the 2003 PGA and when he made an ace at Riviera in 2007 and jumped on the car he won:

Imagine how fun this guy will be on the senior tour?
