RBC Canadian Open odds 2022: Scottie Scheffler among the favorites off playoff loss at Colonial
Carmen Mandato
After his first missed cut in 15 starts at the PGA Championship, Scottie Scheffler got right back to work at Colonial, nearly winning the Charles Schwab Challenge in a playoff. His runner-up finish to Sam Burns marked his ninth finish of T-7 or better this season.
Not surprisingly, the World No. 1 is a co-favorite this week at the 2022 RBC Canadian Open, an event that's been on hiatus since Rory McIlroy last won it in 2019 at Hamilton Golf Club in Ontario. For the first time since 2010 and just the sixth time ever, it will be held at St. George's Golf and Country Club in Toronto.
Scheffler is as low as 7-1 to claim his fifth win in his last 10 starts this week, and he's joined there by PGA champ Justin Thomas. McIlroy, the defending champion, is 8-1.
The first Canadian-born player on the odds board is Corey Conners, who, at 22-1, is hoping to become the first Canadian-born player to win his home country's national open. Adam Hadwin, also from Canada, is 45-1.
