Quicken Loans: Hurley leads Els by two

Billy Hurley III, 34 and looking for his first PGA Tour win, took the outright lead on Saturday at the Quicken Loans National, shooting a bogey-free four-underpar 67 at Congressional Country Club.

His 54-hole score of 15-under 198 leads Ernie Els by two strokes.

Els, the 46-year-old South African, had the best score of the round with a bogey-free six-under 65, including a slam-dunk eagle on the par-4 12th hole. At 13 under, two back of the lead, Els is looking for his first PGA Tour win since 2012.

Jon Rahm, the first and second-round leader in his first professional start, shot a one-under 70 on Saturday, moving to 12 under and in third place.

Vijay Singh, 52, shot even-par 71, dropping to a tie for sixth with Harold Varner III at eight under. A win here would be his first on the PGA Tour since 2008.

Bill Haas and Webb Simpson are also within striking distance of Hurley, heading into Sunday at 10 under each.

Rickie Fowler, still looking for his first PGA Tour win of the season, shot two-over 73, falling to four under through 54 holes. He is tied for 19th.
