Q&A: Terry O'Quinn of "Lost"

April 08, 2010

A few posts ago I told you about meeting course architect Kyle Phillips, the guy who designed Kingsbarns in Scotland. Phillips is opening two new courses at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort in Sicily and he was in New York City to promote the property.

Right about the time I met Phillips, I interviewed Terry O'Quinn, the actor who plays John Locke in the hit TV series, "Lost." O'Quinn is an avid golfer.

The first time I met O'Quinn was in the pro shot at Turtle Bay on Oahu. He has a house on the North Shore and he told me he plays the Palmer and the (George) Fazio courses almost exclusively. He refers to himself as a "homer."

I caught up with O'Quinn again a few weeks ago for a Q&A about his golf game (he's a 10 handicap), travel habits and acting.

Here's a short clip of our conversation:

A condensed version of the interview will appear in June issue of Golf Digest and the complete transcript will be on this website in a few weeks.

Enjoy your Masters weekend.
