Presidents Cup 2017: This GIF of Phil Mickelson avoiding an embarrassing bunker fall is strangely mesmerizing

September 29, 2017

Phil Mickelson's Thursday foursomes match at the Presidents Cup ended with a missed seven-footer for the win on Liberty National's 18th hole. But Mickelson avoided embarrassment -- and possibly injury -- with some nifty footwork and balance for a 47-year-old. It's no wonder he's still being selected to represent his country in team events. Mickelson eventually even pulled off a pretty good shot and now we have another strangely mesmerizing visual of Phil Mickelson doing some, um, sliding.

OK, carry on.
