Please, Tiger, anything but this

February 06, 2015

This is a vicious cycle we're stuck in with Tiger Woods. We know it's totally unreasonable for him to recapture his best form, but we can't stop hoping for it anyway. But really, apart from a few forever loyalists, that's not even what we want anymore. The majority of golf has long accepted that future Tiger will never again resemble the Tiger of old. Even he seems at peace with it. "I practice much less now," Tiger said a day before the Farmers Insurance Open. "I want to spend as much time as I can with my kids. I have split custody, so when I'm at home, I want to be home with them, take them to a soccer game or to school or to activities, whatever it is. I'm their dad."
