PGA Tour wife comes to sad realization after getting charity request rejected in rough fashion
It's been more than 16 months since Adam Hadwin was tackled by a security guard in the chaotic aftermath of Nick Taylor snapping Canada's drought at the Canadian Open, but the stories keep coming. First, all the reactions and needling. Then the Hadwins playing it up for last year's Halloween. And then Adam and the security guard reuniting at this year's event.
Admittedly, there's been a lot of coverage over one viral moment. But if you thought that was over, you're wrong.
Adam's wife, Jessica, decided to use the moment to raise money for charity. Planning to auction off a signed photo of Hadwin getting lit up while holding a champagne bottle to celebrate his buddy's win, Jessica thought it might be nice to include a bottle of bubbly to push the bid up.
So, she smartly reached out to Moet & Chandon with what seems like a pretty reasonable request. But, unfortunately—and kind of surprisingly—she got denied. And in such a way that she couldn't keep herself from sharing.
"Sharing this little story with us." That's a particularly tough response. Don't they know Jessica is the unofficial Queen of Golf Twitter?
"A great reminder that golf and social media golf is a bubble," Jessica wrote. Apparently not.
