KAPALUA, Hawaii -- The PGA Tour announced Wednesday a fundraising campaign through youcaring.com for golfer Jarrod Lyle, who is battling acute myeloid leukemia. Ross Berlin, senior vice president of player relations for the tour, had another idea to help the struggling golfer, and also perhaps lift his spirits.

Berlin created a poster that features the top 12 players in the Official World Golf Ranking after the season-ending Tour Championship in September, and he brought 25 copies of it to the Sentry Tournament of Champions for the respective players to sign. Eight of the 12 players on the list are competing this week at Kapalua. The four who are absent are Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson.

Berlin said that once he has collected all 12 signatures, each player will receive a copy of the poster and he also will send one to Lyle. The other 12 are to be auctioned off, with all the proceeds going to Lyle and his family. Berlin said he wasn't sure how the posters would be auctioned, but he planned to send two to the PGA Tour of Australasia and the rest would be dispersed to various tour events or other golf organizations. "However best we can raise the most for Jarrod," Berlin said.
