PGA player Billy Hurley announces father is missing, asks public for their help

PGA Tour player Billy Hurley III held a press conference at the Quicken Loans National to announce that his father has gone missing. Hurley and his family are asking the public for  assistance in finding him.

According to Hurley, his dad Willard Hurley Jr., a policeman, has been missing since last Sunday:

"No one knows why he left, he's been married to my mom for 30 years and now he's gone. I just want to let him know that: Dad, we love you and we want you to come home. We have no idea where he is."

According to Hurley, his father is not mentally unstable.

Hurley, 33, was born in Leesburg, Va., went to school in Maryland at the Naval Academy and resides in Annapolis, Md., making this week's event in Gainesville, Va., a homecoming. Hurley has made 12 of 25 cuts on tour this season, with his best finish coming at the CIMB Classic last November (T-8).

Hurley stated he still intends to play in this week's event.

"Maybe my father will see it and come home."
