Padraig's analysis was dead on

August 09, 2009

AKRON, Ohio -- Padraig Harrington on Saturday said that he couldn't run in place on Sunday and expect to win, despite taking a three-stroke lead into the final round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

"It isn't a question of me going out there tomorrow and thinking I'm going to get away with shooting 70," he said Saturday evening. "Tiger obviously loves this golf course and I've got to expect that he's going to perform tomorrow."

So how has Harrington's analysis held up? Through five holes of the final round, Woods is four-under par, while Harrington has parred each of the first five holes. Woods has erased his three-shot deficit and now leads by one.
