We’ll have to wait another five-plus months until we know the names of the men and women competing for the United States when golf is played in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. But the name of the apparel brand that will outfit Team USA became public on Wednesday, with J.Lindeberg offering a sneak peak at what the Americans will be wearing at Le Golf National.

The looks include a healthy set of performance and hybrid pieces that can be worn on the course or as statement athleisure ensembles if you’re already thinking about which pieces you’d like to add to your personal collection.

While the Scandinavian brand (often modeled by Norwegian pro Viktor Hovland) may first seem like an unexpected choice for Team USA, there’s a lot about the brand aesthetically that makes sense, as is evident from the looks of performance tops, zip-ups, compression shorts, tipped polos, sneakers, carry-alls, joggers, and varsity jacket just unveiled. The looks feature stark, geometric motifs in Americana red, white, and blue that will shine on camera and connote mastery and dynamism on the course (and if color psychology has anything to say about the relationship between bold patterns and performance, this could lead to greater confidence and gamesmanship for Team USA).

The J.Lindeberg designers also drew inspiration from France itself, not only taking into consideration the intense heat of Parisian summers when choosing from their lines of technical, UV-protecting, moisture-wicking stretch fabrics, but also in the patterns, where elements of the steely, poignant Eiffel Tower overlay the patriotic color palette.

In this way, the pieces are a true testament to what draws so many of us to the Olympics, and even golf tournaments in general: the conversion of cultures and players who bring their best to share in this game we love.
