    No. 1 Cal men ready for road ahead

    California maintained its spot atop the Golf World/Nike Golf men's Division I coaches' poll, earning 15 of the 19 available first-place votes. After the close of voting the Golden Bears' claimed their ninth title in 11 starts with their first victory at the Western Intercollegiate since the 1950s.

    Alabama kept its place at No. 2. The Crimson Tide earned the other four first-place votes after claiming the title at the Aggie Invitational, their fifth team title of the 2012-13 season.

    Rounding out the top five are New Mexico, Texas and UCLA.

    Nova Southeastern earned 16 of the 17 available first-place votes to remain No. 1 on the Division II coaches' poll. The Sharks have won three times in 2012-13 and have finished second in six other tournaments as they prepare to try and defend their NCAA title.

    Barry claimed the other first-place vote to remain No. 2 in the poll while USC Aiken held on to the No. 3 spot. Rounding out the top five are CSU-Monterey Bay and Lynn.

    Oglethorpe, a five-time winner during the 2012-13 season, remained No. 1 in the most recent Division III coaches' poll. The Stormy Petrels claimed nine of the 13 available first-place votes.

    Methodist, Illinois Wesleyan and Saint John's (Minn.) all maintained their spots behind Oglethorpe with Gustavus Adolphus rounding out the top five.

    Texas Wesleyan claimed eight of the nine avialable first-place votes to hold on to its No. 1 ranking in the men's NAIA coaches' poll. The Rams have won five team titles during the 2012-13 season and haven't finsihed outside the top four in their eight tournament starts.

    Oklahoma City and CSU-San Marcos remained No. 2 and 3 in the poll. Rounding out the top five are the University of the Cumberlands and Our Lady of the Lake.

    Central Alabama and South Mountain each maintained their spots atop the men's NJCAA Division I and Division II coaches' poll.

    The Trojans earned seven of the eight available first-place votes in the D-I poll while the Cougars claimed six of the seven in the D-II poll.
