Need a putting Krutch? Here it is

March 17, 2011

Justin Rose took 33 putts in the first round of the Transitions Championship on Thursday, then took to Twitter to lament his putting woes.

"Just seen an ad on golf channel for the 'Krutch Putter'. Might order one if my blade doesn't warm up tomorro! Fresh greens in AM will help!" he wrote.

The Krutch? It's a putter recently introduced by Rosemark Golf that anchors in the armpit (hence the name, Krutch) and is wielded sidesaddle, or "face-on putting," as Rosemark calls it, similar to how Sam Snead putted in the latter stages of his career, except that the golfer stands virtually upright.

"Purest pendulum stroke as can be obtained with a putter," a news release states.

Its MSRP is $200, which includes an instructional DVD. It's available in four different lengths, depending on your height, from 5-4 to 6-4.
