Mike Weir (Mike Weir?) turns up on celebrity gossip websites, dating 'Bachelor' star
Mike Weir might not be the least likely golfer to turn up on celebrity gossip websites, but neither would he have been in any conversation among the most likely. Yet there he was on Monday on Us Weekly’s website and Hollywood Life’s website.
“Meet Michelle Money's New Boyfriend, Golfer Mike Weir,” Us Weekly’s headline read.
“Michelle Money: ‘The Bachelor’ Star Dating Golfer Mike Weir After Split With Cody Sattler,” Hollywood Life’s headline said.
Even ET Canada noted it, though oddly failed to mention the name of one of Canada’s most famous athletes in the headline: “Michelle Money Reveals New Beau on Instagram.”
The pair, indeed, outed themselves. Money, on her Instagram account, posted this photo of Weir holding a glass of wine and wrote, “Mine.”

Money describes herself this way on Twitter: “Host on Good Things Utah, Bachelor S15, Bachelor Pad 2, Bachelor in Paradise, actress & Beauty GuruFor.”
Weir, 46, is a former Masters champion with eight PGA Tour victories, but none since 2007. He is attempting to resurrect his career; in 2015, he missed the cut in 14 of 18 starts and has missed the cut in eight of nine starts this season.
Most recently, he served as an on-course reporter at the PGA Championship for TNT.
Weir, incidentally, is in the wine business with Mike Weir Winery.
