Max Homa and Joel Dahmen spar over the ideal guys golf trip

There are two types of boys trips: ones in which everyone comes back home hungover and depleted … and unsuccessful ones. One would expect that big-name golfers like Max Homa and Joel Dahmen have been on their fair share of the former, but Homa is ready for a break of sorts from the raucous activity. Once you hit your 30s, it’s all about catching up on sleep. Maybe getting a good book in. At least for Homa.

“Just one time I’d like to go on a boys trip where we catch up on sleep and relax as much as possible instead of pushing our bodies to the absolute limit,” Homa tweeted to a mixed response from the social media mob.

“That’s just not how this works,” responded Reddit co-founder (and Serena Williams' husband) Alexis Ohanian. Kevin Kisnerm was intrigued by the idea, stating, “Second.” Former ESPNer and NFL broadcaster Mike Golic Jr. may have put it best when he posted, “That will be hell's coldest day on record.”

The crowd was truly mixed, including bucket-hat extraordinaire and Netflix star Joel Dahmen, who had a bone to pick with his fellow funny man.

"I don’t want to be on that trip,” Dahmen said, prompting this Homa counter-punch.

“Win-win” is quite the zinger and now we need a docuseries of the two taking a trip together. Give us an Anthony Bourdain-style travel show with Dahmen and Homa shooting the shit, traveling from course to course and getting some golf in. Can the two do competing Michael Caine impressions?

With the Ryder Cup over and major season done until 2024, this is the content we need as winter approaches.
