Former Masters champ Charl Schwartzel has turned his hotel room into a driving range this week

Charl Schwartzel, apparently thinking there's room to improve on his opening 69 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, turned his hotel room into a practice range following his first round in South Africa. According to Schwartzel, "So this is what you do when it's too hot outside and you're too lazy to go to the range." Or maybe the 2011 Masters champ was worried about running into some of the wildlife slithering around Sun City this week.

Either way, Schwartzel gave himself plenty of room to work on different shot shapes and trajectories -- unlike this guy -- and he looked pretty pleased with the shot he hit in the clip:

After one round at the penultimate event of the European Tour season, Charl Schwartzel trails Bernd Wiesberger by two shots. But don't get too comfortable, Bernd. That banging noise you hear in the next room is the sound of a green jacket winner coming for you on the leader board.
