AUGUSTA, Ga. — If golf fans didn't get to know Nicolai Hojgaard during last year's Ryder Cup, they should get another opportunity this weekend at the Masters. The 23-year-old Dane will play in Saturday's penultimate pairing at Augusta National with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Talk about the big stage!

But before that happens, Hojgaard showed off his talent in another sport. Apparently, the three-time DP World Tour winner has a basketball hoop at his rental house. And he spent part of Friday evening getting up some shots.

Let Nicolai COOK!

Turns out, the dude can stroke it almost as well as he's been putting through 36 holes. And after Askshay Bhatia injured himself celebrating a putt at last week's Valero Texas Open, the "Golfers are ATHLETES" movement could use all the help it can get.

That being said, we can't help but think of another Euroepean star getting hurt playing a sport other than golf ahead of a major. Of course, we're talking about Rory McIlroy, Hojgaard's Ryder Cup teammate who didn't get to defend his Open Championship title at the 2015 Open because he reptured a ligament in his ankle playing soccer.

So, maybe Nicolai should keep his COOKING to the course. Be careful out there, young man.
