Martin Kaymer’s semi-NSFW 2016 Ryder Cup story proves he’s the funniest golfer in the world
If you took a poll asking golf fans who the funniest player in the world is, you’d likely get a lot of votes for Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, Eddie Pepperell, or Max Homa. One guy who only a handful of people might even mention is Martin Kaymer, who might actually be the funniest golfer on any tour.
There is plenty of proof to back up this claim, such as this video of Kaymer conducting a press conference in which he fielded questions from a bunch of little kids in 2018:
More recently, Kaymer was the host of a hilarious Zoom call featuring a number of European Tour pros, including Gary Player, who showed that he’s not afraid to laugh at himself. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth your time.
For his latest act, the former World No. 1 told a story about what he described as “noisy neighbors” in the team hotel at the 2016 Ryder Cup. We’ll allow him to elaborate further…
