DRIVER

The adjustable hosel is set to .75-degree flat. This gives me more consistent contact. It’s always hard for fitters to find the ideal spin rates without me losing launch, but this was the perfect launch and spin combo. When I mis-hit it, I still feel like I get a lot out of it.

FAIRWAY WOODS, HYBRID

It’s hard to find a 3-wood that is easy off a tee and off the ground. I found the Rogue ST on the range, hit three shots with it, put it in the bag and won.

IRONS

I was testing a lot of shafts (my bag weighed 71 pounds when I flew to L.A.), but I like the stability, higher flight and spin of these. The two irons mix forgiveness and precision.

WEDGES
SPECS Ping Glide 4.0 (46° bent to 49°, 53°, 58°); Nippon NS Pro 950 R shafts.
The shapes of these really suit me. I’ve had similar versions of the Ping Glide wedges the past four years. I weaken the loft on the 46 to get my yardage gaps right. The shafts are steel, but they are still light, making for a better transition from my graphite iron shafts.

PUTTER

Michelle Wie introduced me to LA Golf, including this putter shaft. Putting is such a tiny swing that I never thought clubface stability mattered. But I feel like I have a bit more awareness of where the putterface is through impact.

SCHOOL GIRL
The black and yellow dots on my Titleist Pro V1x are Vandy colors. Most LPGA Tour players prefer the Pro V1x over the Pro V1 because it spins more. It’s ideal for me, and I sure don’t swing 115 miles per hour.

PROTEIN POWER
I learned the hard way not to eat anything sugary on the course. I used to eat bananas—great for you, but with all that natural sugar, I’d crash a few holes after eating one. Now, its fats and protein: jerky, nuts and protein-shake mix.
COLORFUL BLING
I never use a ball marker that matches my clothes. I’m not superstitious, that just makes sense. I carry a lot of Blingo ball markers in a bunch of colors, so I know I’ll never match.
