Soon-to-be PGA Tour player forced to WD following 'disciplinary matter'

Korn Ferry Tour player Alejandro Tosti is no longer in this week’s Albertsons Boise Open following a disciplinary matter.
Tosti, 27, entered the week fourth in the Korn Ferry Tour rankings thanks to a win at the Pinnacle Bank Championship two weeks ago. He also has eight top-10 finishes on the developmental circuit, a performance that has guaranteed Tosti a card for the PGA Tour in 2024.
However, Tosti was forced to withdraw from the Boise tournament following an unspecified infraction, according to the Korn Ferry Tour.
"Per PGA Tour policy, the details of the issue and any related disciplinary action will be handled internally,” the tour said in a statement.
Sources confirmed to Golf Digest that the issue at hand involves Tosti's behavior during Thursday's round. According to Monday Q’s Ryan French, “this comes after numerous alleged incidents throughout the season that have led to him being suspended.”
Tosti, who hails from Argentina, played collegiately at the University of Florida. Tosti made news earlier this year when he was involved in a bizarre rules mishap at the Lecom Suncoast Classic. After starting the round on the 10th hole and having played the 18th, Tosti asked a volunteer if he was shuttling players to the first tee. The driver told him yes, but in actuality he was not authorized to take players between the 18th green and first tee. The tournament was being played under a Model Local Rule that stated players and caddies could not take transportation during a round, except in instances of stroke and distance penalties. A supplemental rules sheet did make one exception, however, allowing transportation between the seventh green and the eighth tee.
“I asked the guy, ‘Are you giving rides to the first tee?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, jump in,’” Tosti told GolfChannel.com. “I know that I cannot jump in a cart that is not official, but this was almost like organized. It almost seemed like someone sent this guy to give us a ride. It was ready, waiting for us to walk off the green and give us a ride to the first tee, and that guy apparently was not supposed to be there.”
Tosti had turned in an opening 67 at Boise prior to the WD. This story will continue to be updated.
