Save for later

Kevin Kisner and Tiger Woods combined for one of the most viral moments in TGL history when Kisner's bladed bunker shot off a flagstick had the 15-time major champ laughing like we've never seen before. But the good times between the two Jupiter Links Golf Club teammates, sadly, are coming to an end.

When the TGL rosters for Season 3 were released on Tuesday, Kisner was not part of Tiger's five-man squad. And the following day, he explained how it all went down during an episode of Barstool's Foreplay podcast.

But while golf fans won't see Kisner playing in the simulator league anymore, it could mean they will see Tiger tee it up more often. Here's how Kisner explained it:

"Well, obviously, I'm not on the team anymore," Kisner said. "I had a two-year contract with Jupiter Links and then they, Tiger wants to play. And then they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me. And I'm sure I'll still be involved in some sort of fashion at some point. Go down there and do some stuff for them. You know, the Bad News Bears are still going to be a part of my life, and hopefully they continue to win."

Tiger wants to play is the key part of that message for Tiger fans. An injured Woods only played in one match in Season 2, returning to play in the TGL Finals, which Jupiter Links lost to Los Angeles.

Mitchell joins a Jupiter squad that returns Max Homa, Tom Kim and Akshay Bhatia in addition to the newly signed Mitchell. So how did Kisner find out he was out?

"Rob [McNamara], Tiger's guy, he text me a long text last week, I think," the four-time PGA Tour winner and NBC Golf analyst added. "Just telling me what they did on their decisions, how they were moving around and what players were going to do and that tiger wanted to play a full schedule….”

A breakup text? Not even from Tiger? Ouch. Here's the clip:

But Kiz and Tiger will always have that funny TGL moment. And it sounds like Tiger plans to create more moments of his own in Season 3.
