Rock Chalk

The best uniforms in college football might belong to one of the worst teams in college football

According to the oddsmakers, the Kansas Jayhawks football team won't just be bad this year, they have potential to be downright putrid. We are talking winless-type putrid, which, believe it or not, would not be a first for the KU football program. They've posted a pair of winless campaigns in program history, both coming in the last six years.

Since 2010, the Jayhawks football program is 21-108, an unfathomably poor 11-season stretch that does not include a season in which they won at least four or more games. This season, KU's win total is 1.5, and the under is at -200. Their first opponent is FCS South Dakota, a winnable game even for lowly Rock Chalk football. This means the oddsmakers believe that even if Kansas wins the opener, they will likely lose the next 11 straight.

What we do know - in at least one of those next 11 games / losses, the Jayhawks are going to be the best-dressed team in all of college football. On October 16 they'll welcome in the Texas Tech Red Raiders for Homecoming, and they are going to be rocking these scorching-hot alternate uniforms while they get boat-raced:

If you ain't gonna play good, you might as well look good. That's a completely made up saying, but it's obviously one this Kansas football team will be living by on October 16. And hey, Texas Tech isn't projected to be all that great, either. The Red Raiders' win total is set at 4.5, and Kansas has actually played them tight the last two seasons, beating them 37-34 in 2019 and losing 16-13 in the final game of the COVID-shortened 2020 season. For all the prospective Kansas OVER 1.5 wins bettors/sickos out there, if you get that South Dakota win, this tilt with TTU could be your one real shot at cashing the ticket, especially with these unis on.
