JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Consistent with John Hawkins' story today that the PGA Tour has asked players to keep any complaints of Liberty National to themselves, consider this reaction from Australian Robert Allenby after his round of three-under 68.Â
Asked about whether the course was better than he expected, Allenby paused and said, "I really don't know how to answer that in the right way, because I could really could get myself into a lot of trouble."
When he was asked to elaborate on a specific hole, Allenby said, "I can't really remember which hole is which. That's the sign of a great course."
Just a guess here, but I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
