Jon Rahm is not one for inefficiency or patience. In his professional debut last summer, the Arizona State product finished T-3 at the Quicken Loans National, and secured his PGA Tour card in seven starts. That type of acceleration is unheard of in golf, but, as the 21 year old showed at the Safeway Open Thursday morning, perhaps we should get used to this hastened pace.

On just his second hole of the new season, Rahm recorded an ace on the 11th hole of Silverado Country Club:

Rahm reportedly hit a 7-iron from 173-yards. And though video has yet to emerge, the Spaniard gave the cameras a peek at the hole-in-one ball:

Did we mention it's only his eighth start on tour? There's usually a slow climb to get to the top, but don't be surprised if Rahm expedites that journey, especially after an opening 66.
