2023 John Deere Classic tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

Nine of the top 50 golfers in the world will make the trip to TPC Deere Run for this week's John Deere Classic, some in search of much-needed FedEx Cup points now that we’re in the home stretch leading to August’s Playoffs. With the FedEx St. Jude Championship just a little more than a month away, every event is critical for players on the cutline.
Defending champ J.T. Poston looks to re-claim his title after an impressive 2022 performance in which he went wire-to-wire for his victory, the first time in 30 years the JDC champion had accomplished this feat. It was Poston's second win on tour, as he outpaced runners-up Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Emiliano Grillo by three strokes.
Cam Young, the reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, is the highest-ranked player at the Deere at No. 19. He comes to Silvas, Ill., looking for something as he has had zero top-10 finishes since the Masters and currently sits at 48th in the FedEx Cup standings.
Meanwhile, an oddsmakers fave this week is newly minted tour pro Ludvig Aberg, who was just one back of the lead after 36 holes last week at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. The native of Sweden was the national college player of the year at Texas Tech and earned his PGA Tour card by finishing No. 1 in the PGA Tour University ranking in June; he's now looking to keep the strong play going this week. He led the field in strokes gained/off-the-tee and strokes gained/tee-to-green for the first two days at Detroit Golf Club, and he has a solid chance to keep that momentum rolling. It also doesn’t hurt that five of the last 11 winners of the John Deere Classic have been first-time PGA Tour winners.
The winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.332 million share of the $7.4 million purse.
TV Schedule
Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 4-7 p.m. EDT. On Saturday and Sunday, Golf Channel will start the coverage from 1-3 p.m. with CBS taking over with afternoon coverage from 3-6 p.m.

PGA Tour Live streaming coverage takes place on ESPN+ from 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday.
