Is IMG attempting to buy Gaylord?

Sports Business Journal is reporting that IMG, which represents Tiger Woods, is attempting to acquire rival Gaylord Sports Management, which represents Phil Mickelson.

The story, by Liz Mullen and Jon Show, said that both Mark Steinberg of IMG nor David Yates, head of Gaylord, declined to comment.

UPDATE: From T.R. Reinman, media relations director for Gaylord: "We do not respond to rumors that have no basis in fact."
