Hideki Matsuyama has a squeaky footwear problem at Muirfield Village

Hideki Matsuyama might not be making the cut at this year's Memorial Tournament, but he definitely caught people's attention with his footwear at Muirfield Village. The resonance of his squeaky cleats rivals that of his swing, making for some comic effect to his sequence.

Wow, those are loud. Almost as bad as Spongebob Squarepants' obnoxiously squeaky boots (if you think like an eight-year-old like I do, and understand that metaphor).

Matsuyama, who won the 2013 Memorial, wore cleats that had a similar sound in last year's title defense.

Regardless of what sound Matsuyama's shoes make, they have definitely aided his golf game, as the 24-year-old has five top 10's and a victory at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this year alone.

Here's to hoping that some wear and tear fixes your squeaky shoe problem.
