Here's Rory McIlroy hitting a ridiculous hook (it's OK, it was on purpose)
If Golf Channel trailed me for a round, they would see me, too, hit some wicked, physics-defying right-to-left hooks. The difference is I'm definitely not trying to do that.
Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, is good enough to hit such a shot on command, in this case salvaging a miserable 137-yard tee shot on the par-5 second by hooking his tee shot back into the fairway, eventually saving par and remain at three under for the championship.

After the shot, you hear announcer Roger Maltbie saying such a route was "hard to imagine," to which Nick Faldo replied, "You need some more imagination in your life, my good man."
Hey, no reason to get personal!
