After a month in the Sunshine State, the Florida Swing is complete.

Viktor Hovland trailed Justin Thomas by three shots at one point midway through the back-nine Sunday during the final round of the Valspar Championship. Hovland won.

The 27-year-old from Norway birdied Nos. 14, 16 and 17, while Thomas bogeyed 16 and 18. Hovland ended up shooting 67 to end at 11-under-par 273 total, one ahead of Thomas, who shot 66.

Hovland, for his seventh PGA Tour title and first since the 2023 Tour Championship, grabbed the first-place prize of $1.566 million from the overall $8.7 million purse. Thomas earned $948,300 and is still looking for his first tour win since the 2022 PGA Championship in Oklahoma.

This win was unexpected for Hovland. He said so himself. He came to Innisbrook with little confidence, having missed three straight cuts and four of the last five. But he caught fire at the right time, just a couple weeks before the first major of the year.

Now the tour heads to Texas for two weeks before heading to Augusta National for the Masters. Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, the top two players in the world respectively, will play next week at the Texas Children's Houston Open.

Here is the prize money payout for each golfer who made the cut at the Valspar Championship.

The Copperhead course is most famous for hosting the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship every April, but Innisbrook is home to three more championship courses—Island, North and South—with views more like the sand hills of the Carolinas than you might expect in Florida. The Copperhead course is a tough ball-striking challenge with tight, tree-lined fairways and a demanding three-hole finish—known as the Snake Pit—that often makes for dramatic finishes to the annual PGA Tour stop.
