Payday at Bedminster

Here's the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Bedminster

Mike Stobe/LIV Golf

LIV Golf hosted its latest Invitational series event this week at Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey. If you’ve followed the drama surrounding the upstart Saudi-backed circuit and its first two tournaments, you likely know some of the specifics behind the latest event: 48 players, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun starts and last, but not least, a whole lot of money.

As was the case for the tournaments LIV Golf hosted outside London and Portland, Ore., the overall purse for the individual competition was $20 million, with everybody guaranteed to take home at least a six-figure check. Finish 48th at Bedminster and you’ll make $120,000, which is just a little more than the equivalent of 19th at this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic on the PGA Tour.

And if you were Henrik Stenson, the wire-to-wire winner in his debut LIV event, you claimed an impressive $4 million first-place prize money payout.

In addition to an individual competition, there is $5 million up for grabs in the team portion of the event. The four-man squad that wins will divvy up $3 million with the second-place team splitting $1.5 million among their foursome.

Here’s the prize money payout for the field at Trump Bedminster.
