Floral prints, bright colors, and palm-tree graphics have flooded our TV screens over the past few weeks, as PGA Tour players competed in Hawaii at the Sentry Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Plantation Course and the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club. The louder-than-usual looks provided us with all the inspiration we needed for our own tropical golf ensembles that will look great at the resort or at home. Whether it’s a patterned polo or a Hawaii-themed headcover, here are 11 resort-themed golf clothing items and accessories to channel those vacation vibes in any weather.

Puma has always taken the Hawaiian-golf-shirt trend very seriously, remember the buzz Rickie Fowler’s untucked button-down caused in 2019? The tropical movement continues in 2022 with Bryson DeChambeau in a striking blue three-button polo covered in a subtle floral micro-print during the Sony Open. The shirt is available in blue, pink and white and is an easy way to add color and personality to any look.

Jon Rahm’s polo from the second round of the Sentry Tournament of Champions is a more muted take on the Hawaii theme trend. The black and gray patterned design creates an abstract, yet upscale look. Plus, this polo features enhanced stretch and wrinkle-resistant technology.

This pineapple-adorned Five Birdies polo, sported by World Amateur No. 1, Keita Nakajima, turned heads last week at the Sony Open. Although availability is limited, Five Birdies has a handful of other Hawaii-themed polos worth checking out, including the Tropical Jungle Polo, the Sakura Polo, and the Red Anthurium Polo.

This PXG bucket hat, part of the Aloha Apparel collection, has a flash of island florals without the print overpowering the accessory. The black and white colorway is also subtle enough to wear for everyday rounds, but will add a ton of personality to the look. Plus, the bucket hat features moisture-wicking fabric with UPF 50+ technology for a little extra sun protection.

Reminiscent of Hawaii’s volcanic terrain, this Adidas shirt will bring a unique pop of color to your look. Lucas Herbert smartly paired the recycled polyester shirt with a pair of navy pants in Kapalua for a sleek-yet-festive combination.

Locally produced in Honolulu, Hawaii, Oahu Golf Apparel offers more Hawaii-themed hats, accessories, and clothing than we thought could exist. This statement-making flatbill has several nods to the island, with a bold tropical print across the cap matching a Hawaiian flag design underneath the flat bill.

Never one to shy away from bold prints, Jason Kokrak wore this fun William Murray polo at the Sony Open expertly. He paired the top with simple black trousers and white Nike Air Max golf shoes to allow the shirt to shine without any distractions or clashing in the outfit.

FootJoy’s new Sea Change collection is full of great apparel options for your next resort getaway that can also be worn back at your home track.
