Goydos' gallery of four

July 08, 2010

The number of people outside the ropes who saw each of Paul Goydos' 59 shots in the first round of the John Deere Classic on Thursday was four, according to Ann Althouse, a University of Wisconsin law professor and popular (or unpopular, depending on your perspective) blogger, who was in his gallery. Althouse's nephew is Cliff Kresge, who was playing with Goydos.

"Tee time for the threesome was 7:09 A.M. and Meade [Althouse's husband] and I were 2 of 4 persons who were watching at that point," she wrote on her blog. "The crowd grew toward the end as word got around, but the 4 of us were the only spectators who saw every shot. That was pretty cool!"
